Awards in Predefined Areas (APA), is one of two equal licensing rounds on the Norwegian continental shelf. The scheme was introduced in 2003 to facilitate exploration in geologically well known parts of the Shelf.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy proposes to include 36 new blocks ( showed in the red polygon) in this year's licensing round in the well-known parts of the Norwegian Continental Shelf – Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) 2020. The proposal is now sent on a public consultation.
Silver eye 3D multi client survey is undertaken by BGP Offshore and Searcher seismic in 2016, which is showed in blue. Around 4,700 sq.km 3D Seismic data is acquired, mostly in BLOCK 7121 and 7122. Both PSTM and PSDM stacks are available now for delivering.
